improved transport for all

Transport is a key topic for Charlie Hoult in the North of Tyne Mayoral election on May 2. Instead of an unproven pollution tax that hits those on low incomes hardest, he backs a co-ordinated green transport approach that connects rail, buses, roads and cycling.

boost Education & skills

What do you want for your kids? The best prospects and school is key to that. Actions, not words – I’m on the team that built the region’s newest science super school in the heart of the city.

more Jobs & New Business

Everyone wants a good living to get on and I’ve got a track record, having created 120 jobs in my own firms and probably 1,000 over my career. Actions, not words. Through Dynamo, the North East network, we know there’s 4,000 vacancies in tech alone.

We all know this region has so much potential, the most passionate people in the land. We need a mayor who’s going to shout about it. I’m working with a team across industry education and government. I’ve kicked off £100m in projects so far. Actions speak louder than words. I’m ready to take on this new challenge bringing more powers and investment to the North East.

the homes people need

As your mayor I’m going to invest in homes and communities. We all need a good home that’s right for us, whatever age or wherever we are in the region. Look at Home Group, a true regional success story. They’re pushing the boundaries on smart homes and green technology. Actions not words. Or, look north at the Borderlands Partnership. £345m to tackle rural challenges. There’s more to do on town centre vibrancy and homes for specialist needs. I’ll make this happen with the right partners.
